Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services seeks Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes in Dayton, OH. Training is provided in full, so no prior experience is required, and you’ll help promote independence and safety.

This role includes paid training, a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff, PTO, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement, annual raises, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily activities.
• Perform household tasks including meal prep and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required. Make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve!

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
