Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in facilities and homes in Ohio. Training is provided; no experience is required.

The role includes direct care, supervising daily activities, meal prep, and personal care assistance. Benefits for full-time staff include medical, vision, dental, disability and life insurance, a 401k, paid time off, holiday pay and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

$18.25-$19.25 per hour

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so

no experience is required.
