Job summary

ViaQuest Community Solutions is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Avon, Indiana. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, promoting independence and safety. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

Responsibilities include direct care, daily living tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe living environment. Requires 18+, HS diploma or GED, and a reliable vehicle for local transport; Indiana driver license

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle for transporting individuals.
• Valid Indiana driver's license and car insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Help with daily living activities and teaching life skills.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid (Indiana) driver's license and car insurance. Limited "non-driving" positions available.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Experience in the field of developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.
