Job summary

ncgCARE is hiring for entry-level roles to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Murphy, NC. The position offers flexible scheduling around school or other commitments and serves as a meaningful entry point into healthcare or human services.

You will work with a mission-driven team to help clients build independence and confidence, with training provided on-site or virtually and compensation for time spent in training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current and active driver's license.
• Minimum age 18.
• Compassionate and caring attitude with strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Physical ability to work in various environments, including stairs and driving.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving goals from their PCP.
• Create a safe, positive environment at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily living skills, independence, and confidence.
• Encourage participation in real-life activities (work, social events).
• Use positive, supportive approaches to help individuals thrive.
