Job summary

ncgCARE is hiring for entry-level roles to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Murphy, NC. The position offers flexible scheduling around school or other commitments and serves as a meaningful entry point into healthcare or human services.

You will work with a mission-driven team to help clients build independence and confidence, with training provided on-site or virtually and compensation for time spent in training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current and active driver's license.
  • Minimum age 18.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude with strong work ethic and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Physical ability to work in various environments, including stairs and driving.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, positive environment at home and in the community.

Appalachian Community Services provides Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Substance Use, and Developmental Disability services to individuals, families, and communities within the seven western counties of North Carolina. We provide a wide range of walk-in, psychiatric, substance abuse, and crisis services to adults and children.

Compensation

Compensation: $14.00 Pay is based on a flat rate.
