Job summary

The Hope Learning Center Llc in Mars, PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in home and community settings. The role focuses on daily living skills, safety, and promoting independence. Daytime hours and both full- and part-time opportunities are available.

ISPs/Behavior Support Plans are used, with documentation and collaboration across families and the care team. Training is provided, and a supportive work environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass all background checks and clearances.
• Experience with IDD or Severe Mental Illness is preferred.
• Experience in human services, caregiving, or direct support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills, community integration, and personal goal achievement.
• Promote dignity, respect, and independent choice in all interactions.
• Implement ISPs and Behavior Support Plans as trained.
• Assist individuals in participating in community outings, employment, and enrichment activities.
• Complete daily service documentation and incident reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure safety, health, and welfare of individuals at all times.
• Administer medication and health maintenance as required (with training).
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in ongoing training and staff development programs.
