Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience providing direct care or support to adults with IDD preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow ISP, agency procedures, and safety protocols.
• Dependability, professionalism, patience, and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record for transportation roles.
• ASL proficiency is valued, with additional compensation for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support to adults with IDD in a residential setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, bathing, grooming, meals, mobility).
• Encourage independence and daily living skills.
• Implement ISPs, behavioral support strategies, and care instructions.
• Provide emotional support and de-escalation when needed, per training.
• Support participation in recreational activities and community engagement.
• Assist with meals, laundry, housekeeping, and a safe living environment.
• Administer medications and maintain related records when trained.
• Accompany to medical appointments and transportation when assigned.
• Document daily service notes and reports.
• Respect privacy, dignity, and individual rights.
