Job summary

Access Services in East Stroudsburg, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional for our Day Program. You will provide personalized supports to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them maintain or increase independence and participate in community activities.

The role operates on weekdays 8:00 AM–4:00 PM at the East Stroudsburg location, and requires driving, background checks, and a valid license. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are paid for within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Community Participation Supports for DSP within six months of hire will be paid for and provided by Access Services.
• One year of direct care experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Background checks, physical examination, and driving history record required.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Individual Support Plan (ISP) for every participant.
• Record daily service notes and other documentation as assigned by Program Specialist/Team Lead.
• Help ensure the highest quality of care to individuals and meet their needs.
• Establish a secure, positive environment that nurtures individual’s needs, self-expression, and goals.
• Facilitate an individual’s inclusion in the community through activities.
• Promote independence in daily activities, learning, leisure and volunteer opportunities.
