Job summary

Parker Personal Care Homes (PPCH) in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Full-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Day Program. The role involves supporting individuals with disabilities in community settings, assisting with ADLs, and promoting health, safety, and dignity across multiple activities and daily routines.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED; we provide training. Expect a competitive hourly rate of $20.00–$22.00 and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite or other similar software is required.
• Must be able to document all services provided in PPCH systems, as trained.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective listening skills, even when non-traditional communication is used.
• Must be able to respectfully address issues of health and safety while supporting an individual’s choices and maintaining their dignity.

Responsibilities

• provide meaningful, educational, and supportive services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receiving community-based services in a variety of settings
• support an environment where our members receiving services are healthy, safe and valued by others by possibly assisting them with learning and exploring their community and their personal interests according to their person-centered support plan or personal goals
• be assisting our members in services with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene or moving to and from a wheelchair
• comply with all PPCH policies and the rules and regulations of all State and Federal oversight agencies
• maintain respectful and professional relationships with our members receiving services, guardians, family members, team members and other staff members
• attend PPCH team, staffing, and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed or as requested
