You’re Helping Someone Build the Life They Want
POV: Your job isn’t just to provide support—it’s to help someone live life on their own terms.
Your day might start at home, providing support with getting ready, personal care, meals, or household tasks when needed. Throughout the day, you’ll work alongside the individual on their personal goals, encouraging independence and celebrating progress.
Then, you’re out in the community! You might run errands, try a new activity, connect with friends and family, volunteer, or explore new places together. You’ll also help coordinate services and create personalized supports that make everyday life more accessible.
Behind the scenes, you’ll complete required documentation, communicate with the support team, and stay current on health, safety, and required training.
You’re not there to do life for someone—you’re there to help them do more for themselves.
