Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in rural southwest Alaska is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Nunam Iqua. You will provide direct support services to an assigned individual with developmental disabilities, coordinate village-based services, and work with the Traditional Council to ensure safety and well-being.

You will meet regularly with the individual and family to support self-sufficiency. Minimum education: High School diploma or GED; experience in special education, child/family

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; AA degree preferred.
• Experience in special education, child/family health and development, counseling or community development preferred.
• Two years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to an assigned individual with developmental disabilities.
• Coordinate village-based services and assist access to community resources.
• Meet regularly with the individual and family to support self-sufficiency.
