Job summary

The Arc of Central Alabama is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered support in residential, community, or program settings. You will help individuals with daily routines, health and safety, and skill development aligned with individualized plans.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, driving eligibility in Alabama, and a commitment to confidentiality and teamwork. A sign-on bonus is offered, and applicants should reside in the St. Clair County area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for driving positions.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license and insurability.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Sign-on Bonus: $500 at 6-months and $500 at 1-year.
• Must be located in the St. Clair County area.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities, routines, and personal care as needed.
• Assist with meals, housekeeping, transportation, and community participation.

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Communicate observations and concerns with supervisors and team members.
