Job summary

SAILS Washington in Lacey, WA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered support and community integration for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role requires transporting participants, maintaining health and safety, and documenting daily activities.

The position is full-time with an emphasis on dignity, rights, and individualized instruction, following the agency’s guidelines. A background check is required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to program participants that meets their needs and promotes community integration.
• Ensures daily needs are met including personal hygiene, meals, housekeeping and health monitoring.
• Transports participants or arranges transportation as needed.
• Keeps accurate documentation including logs, notes and records.
