Job summary

Family Matters DMH is hiring Direct Support Professional in New Madrid, MO. Roles include assisting clients with daily living, meal prep, and daily activities per individual plans. Positions are both full-time and part-time, with pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.03 hourly.

Shifts run 2pm-10pm or 3pm-11pm, with weekends required at least every other weekend. A sign-on bonus is available after three months for full-time staff, and CPR/First Aid training is provided through the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Automotive insurance.
• You must be able to pass a background check or provide a good cause waiver.
• Med Aid level 1 and CPR/First aid training is offered by the company to the right individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities according to their support plans.
• Help with showering, toileting, transferring, eating, traveling, scheduling appointments, handling finances, administering medications, cooking, cleaning and more.
• You as a staff member must be able to cook meals.
• All full-time employees are required to work at a minimum of every other weekend.

DSPs work directly with individuals. Following their individualized support plan. This means they'll often spend extended hours in the home or care facilities of their clients, and help provide day-to-day care with activities such as showering, toileting, transferring, eating, traveling, scheduling appointments, handling finances, administering medications, cooking, cleaning and more. You as a staff member, m ust be able to cook meals. The client is encouraged and expected to do all of these things to the best of their ability. All full-time employees are required to work at a minimum of every other weekend
