Family Matters DMH is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Sikeston, MO. The role offers full-time or part-time hours with shifts from 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am.

Pay ranges from $17.50 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits including holiday pay and a sign-on bonus after three months for full-time hires. Responsibilities include assisting clients per their support plans, helping with daily living activities, transportation, and medication administration, and occasionally

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Automotive insurance required and valid.
• Must pass a background check or provide a good cause waiver.

• Follow individualized support plans for clients.
• Assist with daily living activities (showering, toileting, transferring, eating).
• Help with scheduling appointments, transportation, finances, and medication administration.
• Must be able to cook meals for clients.
• Be available to work extended hours in home or care facilities and every other weekend.

• * Med Aid level 1 and CPR/ First aid training is offered by the company to the right individuals.

DSPs work directly with individuals. Following their individualized support plan. This means they'll often spend extended hours in the home or care facilities of their clients, and help provide day-to-day care with activities such as showering, toileting, transferring, eating, traveling, scheduling appointments, handling finances, administering medications, and more. DSP's must be able to cook meals for the client. The client is encouraged and expected to do all of these things to the best of their ability. All full-time employees are required to work at a minimum of every other weekend
