Job summary

Indera is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to assist a 29-year-old man in Baldwinsville, NY. This 1:1, part-time role involves helping him find and participate in activities he enjoys, both at home and in the community.

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Baldwinsville, NY (PL-TS)

A 29 year old man in the Baldwinsville area looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with finding new activities as well as participating alongside him with activities he already enjoys.

He spends most of time at home with his family. He enjoys doing puzzles, riding his bike, playing games, jumping on his trampoline, reading books and walks in his neighborhood.

The ideal candidate is willing to communicate by physical gestures, sounds and his iPad. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, active and patient. The ideal candidate is willing to provide personal care.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Flexible times.

Starting pay: CH Starting pay is $19.25 and increases with years of relevant experience.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
