Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. If you are compassionate and reliable, join our mission-driven team in Hickory and surrounding areas to help clients live independently and grow their skills.

As a DSP, you will perform ADLs, support community participation, and assist with daily tasks. We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, a $1,000 signing bonus, and paid onboarding with opportunities for

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Able to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
Paid training provided for no prior IDD experience.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Complete ongoing training and professional development.
