Job summary

Northeast Arc is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join the Thaxton House residential team in Beverly, MA. The role provides direct care and supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured community setting.

Schedule includes weekday evenings and Saturday shifts. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with compensation in the $24.50–$25.50 per hour range based on experience and certifications. CPR/FA/MAP certifications valued.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• MAP Certification is required.
• FA/CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and individualized supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Promote independence, community engagement, and meaningful life experiences.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support medical appointments and health-related needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, supportive home environment.

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment Type

Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Thaxton House is home to a vibrant group of young adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) who thrive on structure, community involvement, and meaningful relationships. Compensation
