Job summary
Merrick, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with disabilities in day programs in Vadnais Heights, MN. You will support clients with behavior plans, help them gain job skills, track time, and reinforce positive behaviors daily.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required.
- Experience with challenging behaviors and de-escalation.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to use electronic devices incl. databases and internet apps.

Responsibilities
- Work with clients on positive behavior techniques and person-centered plans.
- Encourage clients to reach personal and employment goals.
- Provide support, redirection, and de-escalation during challenging situations.
- Train and monitor clients to perform work-related tasks.
- Be engaged throughout the day with clients.
- Complete client paperwork and attendance.
- Meet transportation needs including assisting in loading/unloading.
- Assist clients in personal cares as needed.
