Job summary

AHRC Nassau is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Plainview (Plainview Floral Avenue) for Monday–Friday, 3pm–11pm, with pay starting at $14.00 per hour based on experience.

AHRC Nassau operates the largest residential program on Long Island, with over 100 supervised settings. Direct Support Professionals work with each person supported toward reaching goals and desired outcomes, assisting with self-care, health, safety, and daily tasks to improve quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid NYS drivers license and maintain qualified driver status throughout employment.
• Must have the ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives/information.

Responsibilities

• Promote the agency’s mission and guiding principles in every interaction.
• Provide ongoing support to residents in the Community Living Services program to maintain a high quality of life.
• Support self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization, and overall well-being.
