Job summary

AHRC Nassau in Plainview is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work 3pm–11pm, 8 hours per week, helping residents achieve their goals and daily living skills.

The position offers a starting pay of $14.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience. You will support individuals in community living settings, focusing on self-care, safety, and well-being while promoting the agency’s mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must submit a valid NYS driver’s license, and maintain a qualified driver status throughout employment.
• Must have the ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives/information

Responsibilities

• Practice and promote the agency’s mission statement and guiding principles in every interaction.
• Provide ongoing support to the people that live in the Community Living Services program to ensure that a high quality of life is maintained.
• Provide support in self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization, and overall well-being.
