Job summary

Albertina Kerr is hiring direct-support staff to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes and community settings. You will help with daily living tasks, medication assistance, cooking, dressing, personal hygiene, and coordinating transport and activities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old.
• Strong social skills required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with daily living tasks.
• Willingness to learn new skills and recipes.
• Basic cooking and cleaning abilities needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living activities and personal care.
• Provide support during home visits and community activities.
• Monitor health and communicate concerns to supervisors and family.
• Follow behavior support plans and nursing tasks as trained.
• Maintain safety, hygiene, and respectful interactions.

Each day, you'll support adults in being successful in what they want to do. Common tasks involve help with medications, cooking, dressing, personal hygiene and cleaning.
