Job summary

Insight Ind. LP, Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental challenges in an Independence Supported Living setting in the Kansas City area.

You will support daily living activities, accompany appointments, and help clients achieve personal goals while maintaining safety and well-being. CPR and Level 1 Medication certification are preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Background checks including criminal, driving record, and abuse/neglect screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities.
• Support personal goals and activities.
• Meal planning and preparation.
• Medication administration as assigned.

These individuals have the ability to live in their own space and our company supports them with activities of daily living in an Independence Supported Living setting (ISL).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Personal care
• Working on individual goals
• Meal preparation and planning
• Medication administration.
• Community integration and outings
• Accompanying individuals to appointments
• Other job tasks as assigned
• Drive consumers to and from programs, schools, and appointments as needed

• Med level 1 responsibilities
