Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in North Kansas City, MO, is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. You will assist with daily living activities, encourage new skills, and provide compassionate support during outings and appointments.

Requirements include at least 18 years old, one year of DSP experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle and insurance, ability to lift 50 lbs, and

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to your first shift.
• Level 1 med aide certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Support light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offer companionship and encouragement.
• Accompany individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.

Location: North Kansas City, MO

Schedule: Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm

As a DSP, you will play an important role in helping clients reach their goals, build new skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences while providing compassionate support with daily living activities.

Your Day Might Include
