Job summary

Divine Homes Healthcare Services LLC in Fairfax, VA is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. You will provide personalized care to individuals with disabilities, assist with daily living activities, and support ISPs.

You will work closely with supervisors, families, and healthcare professionals, maintain a safe home environment, and participate in community activities. Must have high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and valid driver's license; flexible shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in direct care or human services preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Strong interpersonal, patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach.
• Able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed.
• Facilitate community integration activities and encourage social participation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client well-being.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for all residents.
