NEEDS Center in Topsfield, MA is hiring Direct Care Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with 2nd shift, overnights, and weekends common; training is provided and opportunities for growth are strong.

Responsibilities include supporting daily living skills, meal prep, light housekeeping, and implementing programs. A HS diploma is required; driving is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with behavior management preferred.
• Willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication; reading fluency required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.

• Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
• Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs in Individual and Behavior Support plans.
• Participate with team members to create a therapeutic environment with regular community involvement.

The NEEDS Center is a growing non-profit organization and right now we have 8 openings for Direct Care Support Professionals who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. This is a role where you can truly make a difference in the lives of others.

• Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Topsfield, MA.
• These positions are primarily either 2nd shift, overnights, and/or weekends.
• These are entry-level jobs with great potential for career growth--and training is provided

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (Pay based on experience and MAP Certification.)

Responsibilities Include

• Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
• Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary)
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with co-workers and supported individuals. Must be able to read fluently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
