Job summary

Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide Exceptional Care for residents at Poplar House in Uniontown, PA. The role is hourly, non-exempt and full-time (40 hours) with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, transportation, meals, personal care, and documentation; no experience required. 2 weeks paid training provided by Verland.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents in a safe, healthy environment.
• Encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs and record observations and progress notes.
• Assist with planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Help with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed and administer medications.
