Job summary

Verland in Uniontown, PA is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide Exceptional Care to residents with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time role.

Starting wage is 20.00 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. 40-hour weeks on a rotating schedule (3pm-11pm) at Poplar House, with duties including assisting with meals, personal care, activities, transport, and household tasks. Comprehensive benefits follow 30 hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable means of transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals provide individualized care and ongoing support for residents with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Record observations and daily progress notes; participate in planning social and recreational activities.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities; provide personal hygiene assistance.
• Medication administration and other duties as assigned.
