Job summary

Humanim in Maryland is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with disabilities learn, grow, and gain independence. You will report to the Program Manager and support health, safety, and well-being while advocating for participants' needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks, transporting clients to appointments and outings, and reinforcing safety practices in various environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• MD driver's license with fewer than 5 points and valid auto insurance required.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
• CPR/First Aid Training required.
• Ability to relate well to staff, individuals from diverse backgrounds and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities to learn, grow and become more independent.
• Support with basic housekeeping tasks and daily living activities.
• Transport individuals to appointments or social outings and ensure safety.
• Advocate for participants' needs and goals.
