Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Yuba City, CA. DSPs support individuals with developmental disabilities across community and home settings, assisting with personal care, behavior plans, and social skills development.

The role is full-time, 32 hours weekly on the 3rd shift (Friday-Monday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM). Compensation ranges $24.00–$26.00 per hour, with potential to earn up to $26 after RBT certification, plus a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license, if required.
• Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend English.
• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
• RBT/DSP training requirements to be completed within 12 months.

Full-Time | 32 Hours/Week

Pay

$24.00-$26.00 per hour

Earnup to $26 once you have received your RBT - Registered Behavioral Technician certification.

OurDirect Support Professionals (DSPs) interact and support our individuals with development disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings, as well as Adult Training Facilities. The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans. We provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity and contentment of every consumer served by assisting and training individuals in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development.

Education/License/Certification(s)

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification-Registered Behavior Technician or licensed psychiatric technician; or become a registered behavior technician within twelve months of initial employment.
• DSP 1 and DSP 2 Certification - Required within 12 months of hire. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification - Required within 12 months of hire. Merakey will provide access to the necessary training and support to help employees meet the RBT, DSP1 & DSP2 requirements. RBT, DSP1 & DSP2 must be completed within 1 year of hire.

Experience: Minimum Required

• 6 months experience working with IDD/MH population or equivalent
• Dual Diagnose experience is a PLUS!

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (Please list other job requirements)

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license, if required
• Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend the English language
• Must have desire to help others reach their fullest potential
• Completes PPD testing and Physical Examination upon hire and minimally every 2 years thereafter, if required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed
• Ability to model, teach, and encourage socially-acceptable behaviors as needed
