Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our program in Sacramento, CA. Earn $23–$25 per hour, with an increase to $27 per hour after obtaining RBT certification.

DSPs interact with individuals with developmental disabilities across community, family, or home settings, assisting with personal care, communication, and social skills, while supporting and implementing behavior plans.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience working with IDD/MH population or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification-Registered Behavior Technician or licensed psychiatric technician; or plan to become RBT within 12 months of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license, if required.
• Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend the English language.

Earn $23- $25 per hour (rate increases to $2 per hour once you have received your RBT – Registered Behavioral Technician certification).

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) interact and support our individuals with development disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings, as well as Adult Training Facilities. The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans. We provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity and contentment of every consumer served by assisting and training individuals in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development.

Education/License/Certification(s):

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification-Registered Behavior Technician or licensed psychiatric technician; or become a registered behavior technician within twelve months of initial employment.
