Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Wilson, NC. You will empower individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to achieve their goals through support with daily tasks and activities.

This part-time position offers flexibility, a competitive hourly wage of $15, and comprehensive training, including CPR and medication administration. Join our mission to provide meaningful support within the community and enjoy diverse growth

Qualifications

• Entry-level; on-the-job training is provided.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.
• DSPs must have reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in individual homes and communities.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping and personal care.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize client schedules.
• Documentation and reporting in the electronic health system.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a critical role in carrying outthat mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.

Position details: Part-time day and after-school/afternoon hours, Mon-Fri; weekend shifts
Location: Wilson, NC, and surrounding areas with regular local community travel
Compensation: $15.00/hour

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing, toiletry and changing diapers; as well as employment support.
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.
