Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our program in Wilmington, DE. No experience required; paid training is provided.

Pay rate is $15.75 per hour, with a focus on empowering residents to improve daily living skills under supervision. Ideal candidates are passionate about helping others, patient, and reliable, with a desire to create lasting positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Requires valid driver’s license.
• Experience with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (housekeeping, laundry) to promote independence.
• Support individuals in navigating daily routines under supervision of House Manager.
• Provide encouragement, mentoring and coaching to help clients reach goals.
• Ensure timely communication and documentation as part of resident care.

Payrate- $15.75/hr

Our ideal DSP candidatewill have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
