Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our program in the New Castle Delaware County area. No experience is required as paid training is provided. The pay rate is $15.75/hr, with a range of benefits designed to support well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• No experience required; paid training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities to enhance independence.
• Help residents with housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Follow procedures and guidelines under supervision of the House Manager.
• Observe residents’ responsiveness and living area conditions, report results and participate in periodic meetings.

Education

Our ideal DSP candidatewill have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents’ responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
