Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for a Willingboro, NJ program. The role pays $18.13 per hour and includes a Sunday shift from 9am to 9pm with paid training provided. There is a strong focus on mentoring residents and supporting daily living activities to boost independence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license (prefer candidate own transportation).
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Experience in a home health aide or school setting with individuals with IDD preferred.
• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities to foster independence.
• Encourage, mentor and coach residents to achieve their goals.
• Support residents under supervision of the House Manager and monitor living areas.

Pay Rate: 18.13 per/hr

Shift: Sunday 9am to 9pm

No experience required - we provide PAID training.

Our ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long‑term impacts on their individuals lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals . Be a part of fostering a true sense of pride in your individual by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Your work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager who reviews results through living area observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living area, reports, and periodic meetings. Make a difference in the life of those you work with to enhance their independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
