Job summary

Love Help Care Family Support LLC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide personalized care and support for individuals with disabilities. Join a team dedicated to helping clients live their best lives with dignity and respect.

You will assist with daily living, document ISP progress, coordinate transportation for appointments, and collaborate with family and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in human services preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meals, and household tasks.
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments and activities.

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and errands
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
• Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in human services preferred
• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
