Job summary

Beyond Home Health Care in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help clients achieve independence, daily living skills, and active community participation.

You will assist with personal care, plan adherence, accompany to appointments, monitor health, and maintain documentation. A high school diploma, 18+ age, valid driver's license, and CPR/First Aid training completed through approved providers are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with developmental disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• CPR and First Aid training to be completed through approved providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement and adhere to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) aligning with clients’ goals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support, and encourage social inclusion.
• Administer medication and monitor client health as per guidelines.
• Support clients with transportation to various appointments and community outings.
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow behavioral support plans as required.
