Role Description: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Omaha Metropolitan Area, providing individualized support to people receiving HCBS services. In this role, the DSP assists with activities of daily living such as personal care, dressing, bathing, and meal preparation, while encouraging maximum independence. Daily responsibilities include implementing individualized service plans, offering medication reminders, supporting community participation, and providing safe and engaging companionship at home and in the community. The DSP helps maintain a clean and organized environment through light housekeeping tasks and follows established safety and reporting procedures. This position also involves documenting services, monitoring changes in individuals’ needs, and collaborating with supervisors, families, and other team members to ensure consistent, person-centered care.
