Ability Beyond is seeking a Direct Support Professional in the Greater Danbury area. This role offers guaranteed schedules across full-time, part-time, and flexible opportunities, with a $1500 sign-on bonus potential. You will assist adults with diverse needs in residential and community settings, helping them build life skills and independence.

No experience is required; paid training is provided. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred to support community outings

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on support with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and medication reminders as needed
• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, communication, and meal planning
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, errands, and community outings
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and volunteer activities such as fitness, crafts, Special Olympics, and community events
• Implement behavioral support strategies and use de escalation techniques when needed
• Collaborate with nurses, behaviorists, nutritionists, and other clinical team members to provide well rounded care
• Assist with goal planning, progress tracking, and skill development
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and daily activities

Direct Support Professional | No Experience Required

Pay Rate: $19.00 to $19.50 per hour Locations: Multiple programs across the Greater Danbury area Schedule: Guaranteed set schedules available including first, second, and third shifts, as well as weekends. We offer both full time, as well as part time & flex opportunities!

May be eligible for a $1500 sign on bonus!
