Job summary

Resources for Human Development (RHD) is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Nazareth, PA. Join a compassionate team delivering person-centered supports to adults with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. We provide paid training, flexible per diem scheduling, and opportunities for growth.

No experience required—paid training provided. Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass background screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. Ability to provide proof of education.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background screenings including FBI clearance when applicable.
• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree; previous experience in human services, healthcare, direct care or caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support per individual ISP.
• Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and outcomes.
• Support activities of daily living including meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community events.
• Assist accessing community resources and supports.
• Administer or assist with medications as required.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with program and clinical staff to ensure quality services.
• Promote healthy, safe, and socially appropriate behaviors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Provide supervision and support in accordance with each individual's Person-Centered Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Assist individuals in achieving personal goals and desired outcomes
• Support activities of daily living, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household tasks
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community events as needed
• Assist individuals in accessing community resources and supports
• Administer or assist with medications as required
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with program and clinical staff to ensure quality services
• Promote healthy, safe, and socially appropriate behaviors
• Perform other related duties as assigned
