Independent Beginnings LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide direct care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Mount Vernon, OH. You will assist with daily living activities, meal prep, and transport clients to appointments as part of a supportive team.

We offer competitive hourly pay, weekend add-on rates, incentive bonuses, and benefits such as PTO after 90 days and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• DODD waiver temporarily waives the diploma requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Help with daily activities including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
• Work closely with a team of people including co-workers, consumer family members, and medical professionals to help clients live as independently as possible.
• Transport clients as needed to appointments and activities.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments to ensure their needs are met.
