Merakey is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 for a part-time, first-shift role (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–10:00 AM). The position offers $17.50 per hour, paid training, and opportunities to make meaningful impacts on individuals with developmental needs. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide or school setting with IDD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individual Support Plan to assist with daily activities and community outings.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care, fostering independence.
• Encourage social and communication skills and support daily living tasks like housekeeping and laundry.

Schedule: 1st Shift
Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-10:00 AM
Part-Time | 20 Hours/Week

Pay: $17.50/hr

Position Details : Our ideal Direct Support Professional candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer’s lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals . Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals . By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills . Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

No experience required - we provide PAID training.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
