Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is a statewide provider of behavioral health services and a Certified Great Place to Work. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Developmental Services team in Western Massachusetts.

As a Residential Support Specialist, you will assist individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes, promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion. You will monitor daily living activities, health, and medication documentation, and support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of human services experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Commitment to client empowerment, human rights, and community integration.
• Ability to complete all required training provided by BHN.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor daily living activities to promote independence, competency, and decision-making.
• Monitor individuals' overall health and well-being.
• Provide support with medication administration and related documentation.
• Deliver crisis intervention and emergency support when needed.
• Initiate and encourage community activities and foster social support networks.
• Ensure quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, dignity, and respect.
