Job summary

Mains’l Services in Hastings, MN is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work with an individual in his home. As a DSP, you will support daily living, promote independence, and help achieve personal goals with person-centered approaches.

The position offers meaningful day-to-day responsibilities, competitive pay of $28.00 per hour for awake overnight shifts (9pm–7am), and opportunities for growth. Training is provided, and benefits include health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Commitment to learning and growth in a direct support role.
• Patience and flexibility to support daily living needs.
• Ability to apply Person Centered Practices and communicate needs.
• Strong teamwork skills and reliable collaboration with caregivers.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid MN driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check through DHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide supports with Activities of Daily Living including personal cares.
• Support in transportation to various appointments and activities.
• Attend medical appointments and relay necessary information.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment.
• Complete household responsibilities such as laundry, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
• Teach and reinforce valuable life skills.
• Provide companionship, guidance, and advocacy.
• Accurately document care to ensure continuity of support.
