Job summary

Pinnacle Support Services LLC in Culver City, CA is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. You will provide personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping with daily living and community participation.

Responsibilities include implementing ISPs, assisting with ADLs, transporting clients to appointments and outings, teaching life skills, and documenting progress. A strong communicator with patience and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in human services or caregiving preferred.
• Pass a background check and health screenings (TB Test).
• Valid California driver’s license, car insurance and reliable transportation.

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and other ADLs.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
• Foster client independence by teaching life skills and encouraging self-advocacy.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care teams regarding client needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all clients.

Requirements:

• Valid California driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
