Pinnacle Support Services LLC is looking for a compassionate Direct Support Specialist (DSP) to join our team in Culver City, CA. You will provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with disabilities, implement ISPs, and document progress accurately while transporting clients to appointments and community activities.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their quality of life.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB health screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, meals, medication management and other ADLs.
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, outings and activities.
• Foster client independence by teaching life skills and encouraging self-advocacy.
• Communicate with supervisors, families, and care teams regarding client needs and progress.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
• Foster client independence by teaching life skills and encouraging self-advocacy
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care teams regarding client needs and progress
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all clients

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services, caregiving, or a related field preferred
• Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their quality of life
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to pass a background check and any required health screenings(TB Test)
• Valid California driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Flexible schedule
• Mileage reimbursement
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
