New Horizons in Autism, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with autism in a residential home in New Jersey. You will support daily living, health, safety, and independence, while providing compassionate, person‑centered care.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. We offer paid training, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a non‑profit organization, with a focus on helping individuals thrive in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or higher; diploma or transcripts required.
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid, non‑probationary New Jersey driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to interact professionally with individuals with autism.
• Must complete all pre‑employment requirements: Central Registry, CARI, DMV Check, Drug Screening, Physical Exam, PPD Testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision in a residential home.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Administer and document medications as directed.
• Teach and reinforce independent living and life skills.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Complete required documentation accurately and professionally.
• Support day‑to‑day operation of the residence.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a vital role in supporting adults with autism in a residential home setting. Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and supervision in a residential home
• Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
• Administering and documenting medications
• Teaching and reinforcing independent living and life skills

• Completing required documentation accurately and professionally
• Supporting the overall day-to-day operation of the residence
