Job summary

Quality Connections Inc. in Flagstaff, Arizona is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping with daily living, personal care, and community involvement.

You will follow individual support plans, document activities, and maintain a safe, respectful environment while building skills and independence. Training and certifications provided; eligibility includes background checks and a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet background screening requirements and obtain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Compassion, patience, reliability, and respect for others.
• Strong communication and ability to follow support plans.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and household routines.
• Encourage independence, personal choices, and goals.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility as needed.
• Help participate in community activities, appointments, and social opportunities.
• Support health, safety, and medication routines when trained and authorized.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the team.
• Create a safe, respectful environment protecting dignity, privacy, and rights.

Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

What You'll Do

• Supporting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and household routines.

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow established support plans and procedures.

• Valid Arizona driver's license and acceptable driving record when transportation is an assigned responsibility.

What to Expect

Our Direct Support Professionals work in supportive, team-oriented environments where relationships, respect, and person-centered care matter. Schedules vary based on program needs and may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. DSPs may be assigned to different Quality Connections residential homes throughout Flagstaff based on program staffing needs.

Evergreen Childcare Assistance: Eligible regular full-time employees may receive up to $415 per month toward tuition at Evergreen Academy Preschool, subject to space availability and program requirements. Children must be age 5 or younger and not eligible for kindergarten. Proof of a DES Child Care Assistance application or denial is required.
