Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No experience required—paid training is provided. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, meal preparation, and community participation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Provided care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
