Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our programs. No experience required – paid training provided. Evening and weekend shifts available, including Friday 3pm-11pm and Saturday/Sunday 9am-9pm.

You’ll work with a compassionate team to promote independence, social skills, and daily living activities, while gaining meaningful experience in human services.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or IDD environment is preferred.
• Desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support, transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained).
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
